New Lawn Installation

Construction of New Large Lawns
Perfect Ground Solutions has a wide ranging experience of construction lawns of all sizes, whether this is a very small ornamental lawn or a much larger project, the key is to have a look and evaluate the topsoil levels, type and condition.
Often we are working with builders or landscapers and it is important to make sure that any indigenous topsoil that is on site is put to one side so that it is not lost by being mixed in and that it remains in good condition and not structurally damaged.
Builders are often trained to "compact" materials which is good for building but not for lawns. We need the soil to be free draining so that air and moisture can pass up and down easily. If we do need to bring in soil, we need to make sure that it is a similar type of soil and not full of undigested green waste.
These pictures show an ideal scenario where we are able to profile the subsoil under the site, bring the topsoil in and level it whilst consolidating it without causing compaction as we are working in ideal dry conditions.
In this case, the seeding was carried out at the ideal time of year (late summer) and the new growth emerged in a few days. As the soil was in good condition, root growth through the soil will be rapid and the grass will establish quickly.
